Church in the Woods
Reflection and connection without walls.
You are invited to join our NEW OUTDOOR TIME OF WORSHIP in the churchyard woods at St Katharine's Church, Merstham on the last Sunday of every month at 4pm.
What should I expect?
A warm welcome and time spent with others who enjoy being in the outdoors and want to discover more about the nature of God in the natural wood.
An informal time to connect with God and one another, in the outdoors.
The use of liturgy, songs and activities helping us to connect to God, with a different theme each month.
On the day...
There will signage from the entrance to the churchyard to guide you to our meeting space.
Hot chocolate and cake around the firepit on arrival (or bring your own hot drink).
We plan to meet in all weathers (remember the saying "there is no such thing as 'bad weather' just inadequate clothing!").
Come prepared to be outside in all weathers for approximately 45 minutes.

Please note
Church in the Woods is appropriate for all ages, but not recommended for very young children or those with mobility challenges. The ground is uneven, with some hidden roots and pot-holes and our outside church is only accessible down a moderate slope with no hand rail.
Parking will be on Church Hill along the road. Please park considerately for our neighbours.
